چکیده
Abstract Background The chance of achieving a successful pregnancy through in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET) is limited despite recent scientific advances this field due to several factors that are known affect the outcome. There studies linking presence bacteria male genital tract poor semen parameters IVF-ET outcomes. Results are, however, contradictory. finding confirmed infection warrants treatment, especially when dealing with infertile couples, but treating asymptomatic bacteriospermia controversial. This study assessed prevalence effects seminal fluid bacterial isolates on quality rates biochemical clinical pregnancies IVF-ET. Methodology an analytical cross-sectional conducted at IVF Center National Hospital Abuja, Nigeria. Due low turnout clients, we enrolled all consecutive consenting eligible partners women undergoing procedure during period obtain sample size 242 . Participants observed sterile techniques prevent contamination collection. Growth > 10,000 colony-forming units (CFU)/ml was considered significant tested for sensitivity panel antibiotics. We determined influence positive fertilization, pregnancy, (primary outcome), multiple pregnancies. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 22. Student’s t -test, chi-square test, Fisher’s exact tests employed as appropriate. p -value < 0.05 95% confidence interval regarded statistically significant. Seminal culture 57 patients (47.11%). Staphylococcus aureus predominant organism cultured (43.90%), followed by Streptococci spp. (21.05%), Escherichia coli (17.54%), Klebsiella (8.77%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (5.26%), saprophyticus (1.75%), mixed , Streptococcus organisms (1.75%). rate 95.4%, 42.2%, 38%, 16.53%. Significant found be associated primary infertility ( = 0.001) negative result 0.033). Conclusion relatively high, adversely affected among couples program.

In vitro fertilization is one of the newest approaches to infertility. Opportunities for nurses in IVF involve teaching couples about physiology, providing technical assistance and care, and counseling about the medical and emotional aspects of the program. BACKGROUND IVF cycles which result in only one good quality embryo, and a second poor quality embryo present a dilemma when the decision involves transferring two embryos. The aim of this study was to evaluate whether a poor quality embryo has a negative effect on a good quality embryo when transferred along with a good quality embryo. METHODS We retrospectively evaluated in vitro fertilizati...
